These are the basics to help you begin!
Greetings
Hello – Hola (oh-la)
Good morning – Buenos días (bwenos dee-ass)
Good afternoon – Buenas tardes (bwenas tar-dess)
Good evening – Buenas noches (bwenass noch-ess)
How are you? (informal) – ¿Cómo estás? (coh-mo est-ass)
How are you? (formal) – ¿Cómo está? (coh-mo es-tah)
Do you speak English? – ¿Habla inglés? (ab-la in-gless)
Basic Phrases
I want – Yo quiero (joh key-air-oh)
I don’t want – Yo no quiero (joh no key-air-oh)
Where is..? ¿Donde está? (don-dee es-tah)
How much..? ¿Cuánto cuesta? (cwan-toh cwes-tah)
I have – Yo tengo (joh ten-go)
I don’t have – Yo no tengo (joh no ten-go)
I understand – Yo entiendo (joh en-tea-en-doh)
I don’t understand – Yo no entiendo (joh no en-tea-en-doh)
Nouns
Bag – Bolsa (bol-sah)
Suitcase – Maleta (ma-leh-tah)
Backpack – Mochila (moh-chee-lah)
Card – Tarjeta (tar-heh-tah)
Cash – Efectivo (ee-fect-tea-boh)
Train – Tren (tr-en)
Plane – Avion (ah-bion)
Taxi – Taxi (ta-si)
Bus – Autobus (ah-ut-oh-boos)
Car – Coche (coh-chay)
Passport – Pasaporte (pass-a-por-tay)
Boarding card – Tarjeta de embarque (tar-heh-tah day em-bar-kay)
Money – Dinero (de-nair-oh)
